La industria musical tuvo su gran noche con la edición 65° de de los Premios Grammy en la ciudad estadounidense de Los Ángeles.

Con destacados shows en vivo, como los que brindaron Stevie Wonder, Bad Bunny, Madi Cunningham y Lizzo, entre otros, los distintos géneros musicales tuvieron a sus ganadores -y perdedores- en esta tradicional ceremonia.

Además de las actuaciones y la entrega de los galardones, la noche de los Grammy también contó con la alfombra roja previa, en la que los looks de los artistas -y sus parejas- dieron de qué hablar.

Uno de los más llamativos a la hora de elegir qué ponerse para esta noche fue Harry Styles, quien ganó con "As it was" el premio a Mejor Álbum Pop Vocal, y que sorprendió con una suerte de homenaje a los arlequines: una única prenda de tirantes y piernas largas, decorada con coloridos rombos.

Ya comenzada la función, otra de las actuaciones que llamaron la atención fue la de Taylor Swift, aunque no arriba del escenario: cuando el puertorriqueño Bad Bunny empezó a cantar "Después de la playa", todos se levantaron de sus asientos, pero la blonda estadounidense fue una de las que más movió su esbelto cuerpo, atrayendo decenas de miradas en vivo y millones del otro lado de la pantalla.

Además de hacer bailar a Taylor Swift, el rapero caribeño también ganó la estatuilla a "Mejor Álbum de música urbana" por su obra "Un verano sin ti".

Otros de los que se llevaron un Grammy fueron Kendrick Lamar (Mejor Álbum de Rap por Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers), Willie Nelson (Mejor Álbum de country por A Beautiful Time), Beyoncé (Mejor Canción de R&B por Cuff It) y Michael Bublé (Mejor álbum pop vocal tradicional por Higher), entre otros.

En tanto, Kim Petras se convirtió en la primera mujer transgénero en ganar un Grammy: obtuvo la estatuilla en la categoría "Mejor actuación de dúo o grupo" por Unholy, junto a Sam Smith.

Respecto a los representantes argentinos en Los Ángeles, el único en quedarse con uno de estos destacados galardones fue el pianista Leo Genovese, quien estaba nominado en la categoría Mejor solo improvisado de jazz, por su performance en "Endangered Species", junto al saxofonista estadounidense Wayne Shorter: sin embargo, ninguno de los dos artistas concurrió a la ceremonia. Un párrafo aparte para el líder de Los Enanitos Verdes, Marciano Cantero, a quien se le realizó un sentido homanje y que falleció el año pasado.

No tuvieron la misma suerte Fito Páez, quien competía con "Los años salvajes", en la categoría Mejor disco de rock/alternativo latino, y Ástor Piazzolla, nominado en la categoría Mejores notas de un álbum con "The American Clavé Recordings". 

Sí hubo un momento en los In Memorian que recuerda a los fallecidos durante el año para Marciano Cantero.

La catalana Rosalía, con su destacado "Motomami", y los estadounidenses Wilco, por la reedición de los 20 años de "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot", se llevaron las estatuillas en esos rubros, respectivamente.

La superestrella del pop Beyoncé empató el récord de más victorias en su carrera en los premios Grammy y estaba compitiendo por más, incluido el prestigioso premio al mejor álbum.

La cantante obtuvo tres premios Grammy al otorgarse las primeras distinciones del certamen, incluida la mejor canción de R&B por "Cuff It", lo que elevó el total de su carrera a 31. Eso empató el número de victorias de por vida del difunto

La cantante no apareció en el escenario para aceptar su importante victoria: el presentador Trevor Noah, dijo que estaba atrapada en el tráfico.

Permaneció en la contienda por los principales premios de la noche: canción del año, disco del año y álbum del año, un galardón que nunca había ganado.

Beyoncé se enfrenta a un campo formidable y amplio que incluye a Bad Bunny, Styles, la cantante y flautista Lizzo, la vocalista británica Adele y el creador de éxitos sueco de la era disco ABBA.
